Chat room commands
There are three syntax conventions that you need to remember with Chat
commands.
To change your nickname type
/nick NICKNAME-HERE
To check someone's profile type /profile NICKNAME-HERE
To register your nickname type /services register NICKNAME-HERE PASSWORD-HERE
To join another room type /join #chitchat
To kick a user (you must have room moderator status to do so) type
/kick NICKNAME-HERE ( Reason )
To ban a user (you must have room moderator status to do so) type
/ban Nickname
Here or
for their hostname /ban HOST-NAME-HERE
/mode #room-name +q <nickname> or
<IP> -- Checks the quiet mask for the room
/mode #room-name <nickname> or
<IP> -- Checks the ban mask for the room
This is my favorite command, It tells who is on a specific IP or Name.
/who *IP* -
/who *ipt.aol.com*
(that searches all of AOL in ISP's. You must have
the * * to search IP's or it will search members)

FAQ
Q:
How long has Chat Family been around?
A: Chatpaki opened its doors to the
public on Oct june05, 2005 founded by mubeen, majid, soha hina, and
hina. mubeen still around time to time
under the nickname of AL. Thanks goes to each of them, Chat paki would
not be here without them. In March, 2009, Chat Family changed ownership.
Bigger and brigher things are ahead for this site.
Q:
Why was I kicked out of the room?
A: Chatpaki is a clean chat site. We do not tolerate disruptive users
and people who cuss or flood. We simply will not provide you those means.
Q:
I was banned from Chatpaki, I didn't know the word I said was not allowed
or I did not mean to say what I said?
A: A bad time to read the rules is after you have broken them, Yes you
did mean to say what you said, or you would not have said it. You are now
banned live with it.
Q:
I was just banned from Chatpaki for doing something wrong, how long am I
banned for? When can I come back?
A: You are banned until the ban expires, it could be days, weeks,
months, never. Understand that you have already identified yourself as the
type of person we do NOT want in our chat rooms, why should we be in a hurry
to take a ban off for you breaking our rules?
Q:
How do I become a chat or forum moderator?
A:
You must have a good knowledge of how Chat works, and be experienced
at identifying disruptive users.
Q:
When will I know if I am accepted to be a chat moderator?
A: You will be contacted AFTER the people working at Chatpaki have
evaluated your interaction with the people that chat here and your ability
to handle yourself in situations as they arise. Basically stated: Just
because you filled out an application does not mean you will be selected.
The admin will get back to you.
Q:
Will I be paid to be a chat or moderator?
A: No, at the present time the staff working at Chatpaki are not
paid, this includes the owner. We all provide our time voluntarly making the
internet community a better place for all.
